1. Our Services

Alder & Vale provides artisanal bookbinding and repair services in Bath. We offer a range of handcrafted journals available for purchase, as well as bespoke bookbinding and repair services tailored to your specific requirements.

2. Prices and Payment

Catalogue Products: Prices for our journals are as listed on our website. Payment for these items is processed securely online at the time of purchase.

Bespoke Services: For custom bookbinding and repair projects, we provide a personalised quote based on your requirements. Please note that our online checkout system is restricted to fixed-price catalogue products and cannot process deposit payments. For bespoke projects, we will issue an offline invoice for your 40% deposit. Work on your project will commence once the deposit has been received.

3. Delivery and Fulfilment

We will notify you via email once your order or bespoke project is ready for collection or dispatch. We take great care in the craftsmanship of every item and aim to complete all work within the timeframe discussed during your consultation.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

If you wish to cancel an order for a catalogue product, please contact us as soon as possible. For bespoke projects, as these are custom-made to your specifications, deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced. If you are unhappy with the final result of a repair or bespoke binding, please contact us directly so we can discuss a resolution.

5. Acceptable Use

By using our services, you agree to provide accurate information regarding your bookbinding or repair needs. You agree not to use our services for any unlawful purpose or to submit content that is harmful, offensive, or infringes upon the rights of others.

6. Liability

Alder & Vale is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our services. Our liability is limited to the value of the service provided or the product purchased.
